Series Connection of Batteries with Solar Panel
We can do the wiring connection of batteries in the series, parallel or both combine series and parallel as per our requirements. Here, the wiring connection of  24V solar panel with the series connection of two 12V batteries is given. The voltage of solar panel is 24V so we have to required the two number of 12V batteries. The batteries in series gives us 24V (12v+12v) DC so, the 24V inverter is requuired for this.

One thing keep in mind is that by connecting the two batteries in series we can not double the capacity of batteries. It is possible by connecting them into the parallel. In the series connection of batteries the current is same and the voltage is double(only voltage is double not the capacity).

Parallel Connection of Batteries with Solar Panel

Here, the wiring connection of  12V solar panel with the parallel connection of two 12V batteries is given. 

Mostly solar panel have rating like 12,24,36 volts. Here,we are using 12V solar panel and parallel connection of batteries. The batteries are in parallel so we required two 12V batteries. Aiding more batteries in parallel gives you more capacity. i.e., If you have one 120Ah battery that able to make run a fan for 24 hours then adding one more battery in parallel gives you 48 working hours for same fan.
