The circuit diagram of series connection of solar panel with the parallel connection of batteries and UPS is given above. The two 6V solar panel are connected with two 12V batteries and automatic UPS system. As you know in previous article, parallel connection of batteries gives double capacity with same voltage. The current in the parallel connection of batteries is different while voltage in the parallel circuit is same.

Here, if we connected two 12V and 120Ah batteries in parallel it will gives you 12V 240Ah at the end. That means, one 12V battery work for 120Ah but connecting them into parallel gives 240Ah for same voltage.

Here the two 24V solar panels are connected with two 12V batteries(In series) and UPS syetem. As we know the solar panel produces the 24V and our batteries connected in series so batteries must be 12V each. The batteries in series gives us 24V (12v+12v) DC so, the 24V inverter is requuired for this.

One thing keep in mind is that by connecting the two batteries in series we can not double the capacity of batteries. It is possible by connecting them into the parallel. In the series connection of batteries the current is same and the voltage is double(only voltage is double not the capacity).
